Overall Grade: Good

Comment: Sky blue sapphire from old Ceylon stock. As shown in images (wood, handshot) a background deepens the tone to MD70 and this is how it will show in jewelry. A hint of a window in a native cut but not distressingly so. A value blue for an untreated blue in full ring size. Inclusions visible under the lens and sitting the outer edge. In a bezel setting this will be a thankful blue for rings up to size 7. Old lab report is reliable but can be remade with some extra time and $100. Unheated for sure from the times when we saw our gems coming from the river and they never got near a modern treatment facility.
