Comment: So, here on show is a white sapphire with a honest to reality window (from our earliest rough buying mistakes). These are the obvious indicators: no luster nor color in the center, depth 46%, ridiculous price for an unheated 1.6 carat, face-up dimensions almost 9x7mm (normally needing a 3 carat gem). If you can navigate this flaw, you can fill a size 8 ring with it (the only positive point). As windows go, this a medium one, but already dominating the overall impression. In the worst cases, they look like framed pictures, here you have at least a thick frame with some blink. Perhaps 50% of all gems out there have windows, but of course there is a market for them too. In extremly dense hues, dark blue or red, the center may here still show color, taking some pain away, but not in light colors or white. Add some nasty inclusions into the center of a light color windowed stone, and you have almost hit rock bottom, after that come only treated gems. Worst case, just for the fun, a windowed, treated, included gem in a light color and.... BUM!
