Overall Grade: Good

Comment: Unique emerald-shape sapphire with various hues and tones changing along the crystal, from metallic green-blue, over marine, to midnight blue. As you can see in the magnified images a bubbly layer of colorless inclusions hoovers through 1/3 of the stone and then, suddenly, stops in a straight vertical line. To the unaided eye those bubbles are hidden but they make for a wonderful sight under the lens. Certified unheated. No window. With nearly 10mm length a very visible piece of rare earth. I imagine it in a heavy platinum ring over size 6 or a pendant. Affordable because unique, not because flawed.
