Comment: Seriously sized blue sapphire in fine precision cut. The colour is a pure Marine blue with no purple or green. Without a window Peter has managed to keep the former 11x8mm (of a 5 carat gem) and has given the stone more life and a richer colour. No flaws, no window, even colour-distribution, top-perfect cutting, these are hard to find attributes in big unheated sapphire. Only tiny natural inclusions are visible only under the lens.
