Overall Grade: Good

Comment: Teal-tourmaline, dark pine green with a good dash of dark blue. In case you didn't noticed, that was twice 'dark', being the watchword for this gem. Yet, on photo it can be a cheat, come across very photogenic, with the precision cut doing a good job adding symmetry and luster. Check-out the backside image added to show you the potential for darkness in the gem, depending on viewing angle and light-setting. Tourmaline always displays different color-axis, due to its pleochroism, yet the very dark teal in the mentioned image is a good reference of how dark the gem can get under some circumstances.
