Comment: Tanzanian sapphire with an extra strong color-change of the type sought-after in alexandrite, moving from green to red, the rarest and most radical color-change in the gem-world. BTW, many fake alexandrite are synthetic sapphires with this type of color change. Typically, CC sapphires change between purple and blue, or violet, while this green-red is the rarerest version. Excellent color-change, great luster, no window, no inclusions and, of course, unheated. The green day-light images do look artificial not because we added color digitally but the strong torchlight kills all natural effects, at least if one wants to show the green only. The least tint of mixed light brings out red and purple flashes, which is nice to watch in person but a pest if one wants to show green only on photo. Even then, if you search closely in the max-green pic under 'more images' and you'll still find red specks hidden inside some facets. 3*NOS included plus WLT land purchase and support of NhRP are part of our gems. Perfect CC sapphire of the rarest type with a every-day mixed-light hue of cold purple plus green and red sparks. Small enough for a tight budget but big enough for a slender lady's ring. If you'd like it bigger, we can hunt something like this 6 carat with time and funds.
