Comment: Compare with 0.40, and you'll understand my excursion about why most Kashmir rubies invite discussions regarding their color classification. DSEF defined this 1.93 as ruby, rather than purple-red sapphire, and rightly so, in my opinion, not because I favor it as the owner (cut me some slack) but it truly is a foremost RED gem. The wild purple and neon violet images I added, show color aspects, fluorescence and different characters in various light-settings, plus the unusual fine cutting this gem received. Truth is, like many Kashmir sapphires and rubies, this 1.93 looks different all the time. The silky crystal adds to the sleepy night glow, yet sunshine raises fiery sparks of neon red, while artificial office-light adds a cold raspberry hue, BUT even in (almost) utter darkness it never turns black, instead keeping a MD80 glow of dark red. Combine all images into one, and you've captured 75% of its possible characters. That aside, note the clean yet silky crystal, and its rare as-good-as scissor precision cut, no window of course, DSEF report with "Kashmir" and "no-heat", a rare distinction.
