Comment: Rare fancy color in untreated sapphire, between deep pink-orange and Bordeaux red. Tone depends on light infall, while hue changes between orange and red. Exceptional strong color. No window, untreated, no inclusions. Flawless hand-cut, great luster. One of the rare gems where deep color and luster quality meet in equal balance. Finest fancy sapphire/ruby running outside the competition from classic pink or red hues. Set in a ring up to size 6 or 7 with halo. Such precious rarities deserve protection from daily tear and wear. That is to say, if not clad in a bezel, such a gem in prongs should be worn for special occasions or with great care (office work only).
