Comment: At first sight or with the quick glance at a passing ring, the educated jewelry lover will think "fine blue Sapphire, clean, good cutting, expensive", or the like. The owner of this gem, however, will have the pleasure to discover many more details. As our images and a study under the lens will show, this 'Madam-Sapphire' has various shades of blue on offer: from a deep-as-the-ocean blue, to the famed dark Kashmir and the lighter cornflower blue to a corner of marine green-blue (left upper corner in the main image). Other than most Madagascar Sapphires this specimen does not suffer from the typical sandy crystal but is continuously clean and crisp with only two colourless bubbles attesting to its unheated nature (lens only). Precision-master-recut by Conny Forsberg in Sweden from a four and a half carat gem, certified unheated by DSEF in Germany. New report free of charge. Study 'more images' and enjoy nature's colour-play and the endless variations that can be found even, or especially, in such a small yet endlessly fascinating piece of concentrated matter. Not expensive under 5k/ct in this size and unheated precision-cut quality.
