Comment: Mogok ruby in an intense neon purplish red, a.k.a. pigeon blood, the most sought-after master-color in the ruby-kingdom and truly pretty. Outstanding clarity: free of inclusions under the lens, only an indent on the back's surface can be found with eagle eyes plus 10x lens. Such clean crystal in ruby is a rare feature. 90% brilliancy, meaning maximum luster, too. Roundish gems are rare as well. IGI reports 'unheated Mogok' and 'good color quality'. No window, no heat, no inclusions. Will soon beget a sister with 0.51 but a purer red. They could be joined to create a rare round Mogok ruby pair over one carat, but I decided to present them apart. As handshot shows, this is an intense hue with immaculate reflection.
