Overall Grade: Very Good+

Comment: Icy green-blue Montana sapphire in a face-up 7x4mm marquise cut with only a half carat to pay for. Marquise brings a lot of size and in such a precision cut also great brilliancy and smooth running fire. IMO greenish blue, not bluish green. No inclusions, no window, no heat. Will fill a lady's ring or even a petite pendant. Montana sapphires do not grow very big (this is a rare exception) and their colors are always less dark and not as lush as their cornflower siblings from tropical regions. Why? It must be the cold. Almost sky blue in the corners, this not being color zoning but an affect of the marquise cut bundling color into the tips. Perfect little gem in the true sense of the word, all-natural and with zero compromises.
