Overall Grade: Excellent 

Comment: Screaming pink-red ruby requiring sunglasses. A colour intensity that was thought to be reserved for Burma ruby, but here is nothing to add. Inclusions visible only under the lens (red swirls). Extremely high brilliancy, especially for ruby and a cushion shape. Though only 57% deep, there is no window to bemoan, plus we have an upside view of a 2 or even 3 carat gem. Glows in the dark (if we had them in bigger we could use them as street lights). Excellent local hand cut that has made the very best of the rough. Applause to the cutter.
