Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Two untreated pink sapphires in brilliant 3+mm, classified by IIGJ as 'brownish pink'; instead of orange-pink, which shows that they are NOT bribable and do no favours despite their own images looking 100% like pads. We had similar discussions with 0.54 (or rather were NOT permitted to discuss from the same parcel). In any case, gemologists are divided over the question whether orange inclusions in pink sapphire makes for padparadscha or simply included pinks. The same is true for color-shift between orange and pink. Nomenclature aside, these two have their fair share of sunset or tulip colors plus a wide color-range from purple-pink and purple-red ruby. In any case, great sparklers in this size. They will make delicate studs or serve as sidestones with a blue or green centerstone (assuming you like contrasts in rings). Twice no window, no visible inclusions (lens or magnified images only), and twice certified untreated (by NO-discussion Indian government gem-testing lab). In handshot, one of the two is slightly tilted (they refused to get in line) but as you can see in all other images, both are equally round.
