Comment: Strong pleochroism gives Tanzanites (untreated ones) the unique 'petrol' effect with green, purple, violet and blue moving and mixing in all possible combinations and tones between Light 25 and Medium Dark 60. These two are cut-to-match from the same rough and although on the images one seems to lean more into green than the other, I can see this only in some light. In any case Tanzanites will always look different which is they main charme. Both are free of inclusions, without window and untreated. Heat makes them flat blue which is the way tanzanites were sold for many years but thankfully their original beauty has found appreciation in the last years. Best set in movable or dangling earrings so light can play on the color effect. Though Tanzanites are strictly spoken NOT color changing gems we also show them in the category to widen the options.
