Comment: Here is a most understated, second-view-beauty, pair of petrol-colored untreated tanzanites. Though, gemmologically spoken, they are not color-changers, they have been allowed into the category because they change color with every movement and every change of lightsettings/lightning. As typical in untreated tanzanite, all colors aside blue are preserved, you'll find purple, green, violet, red, and their myriad mixtures, in mild tones and the shimmer of petrol floating on water (hence 'petrol-tanzanite'). These are the gems that get heated to a conform blue used in mass-jewelry production. With the few rare untreated gems and their stubborn individualistic colors large assembly lines are not possible. From this point of view gem-treatments are a necessary 'evil' for any global brand that wants to offer thousands of identical products in their outlets. In old times only the very powerful could afford individually designed gemstone jewelry, the stuff of bishops and lords. In the last century treated gemstones became a commodity available in every departmentstore. Now, the internet has finally freed us from many restrains and everybody, rich and not-so-rich, can afford individual jewelry suitable to their budget. Our fully certified, untreated top-1% gemstones are far from cheap (see ebay for cheap) but you don't need to be a member of the royal family or own a bank either. I disgress. Two gems with three 'nos': no inclusions, no window, no treatments plus precision cut and risk-free setting-service. In case you have noted the difference in weight, remember it's not weight but face-dimensions that make a pair (and color harmony). Set in simple studs, these two will surprise you and others with an eternal parade of sparkling color-variations. If you like to add color, a more posh design with a set of small green or violet gems would be suitable. Again, ignore the hazy surface in the handshot below. The crystal is clean and radiant.
