Overall Grade: Excellent

Comment: 99% of all epidote is found in opaque blackish green-brown crystals. Rarely can they be cut in anything resembling a translucent gem, and even rarer do they come in a pleasing hue AND are free of disfiguring inclusions. We have one 'normal' epidote in stock, mainly for its size. Long story short, this is an extreme collector item. Though not a particularly extroverted gem, it is a pretty enough specimen for jewelry, fulfilling our 3*nos: no inclusions, no window, no treatment. Low relative gravity makes for a visible 7x4mm. If you want to own a gem that makes even unheated Burma ruby or Alexandrite look like a commodity, here is one. And by far not that costly.
