Comment: Pretty on first sight, full of surprises on second viewing, and plenty of details for an eternity. IGI classified this unheated Tanzanian sapphire as 'yellow and blue', two primary colors that mix to a secondary green. The primary colors are pure in their main locations but mix to green where the color zones merge. With sunlight (containing the full color-spectrum) blazing through the gem, we get a rich bounty of hues and tones of blue, yellow, and green, in ever changing constellations. While strictly speaking not a precision-cut, the lapidary has made such good use of the color zones that we graded it as 'excellent' (yes, luck played a role, too, but it favors the bold). See one extra shot from long range with only normal day-light falling straight into the gem: A blast of yellow-green-blue fire. All other images had to be taken in deep 'shadow' and even then, two or more facets kept glowing. The second photo under 'more images' had to be shot practically in the dark and then resurrected with light so as to get the gem in its fullness and clear focus at least once. Most photos were nothing but a gleaming blur. No inclusions, even under the lens. No window. No treatments. Affordable size but utterly unique, one-only, ever. Extreme visibility without posh showiness. Fills a ladies' ring up to size six, or bigger with halo. In such stones, sapphire reveals its amazing qualities across all colors (including red).
