Comment: IGI's color definition is 'Bluish Yellowish Green', with two primary colors and one secondary color we can mix almost colors except in the red spectrum. However, the first impression of this unheated tanzanite or rather zoisite is petrol green-blue from the front. From one side it is golden yellow, from the other side sky-blue/grass-green. We still call such a gem 'unheated tanzanite' though scientifically correct it is simply a 'natural untreated zoisite'. And who did guess we'd have so much more fun with these dazzling color-masters than with their boring and brittle standard-blue treated versions? Many have learned, though, as you can see from the fast sales in our never large inventory. This 0.93 comes in a very old hand-cut with a little back-side chip, which does not impede its beauty in any way but helps with the budget.
