Comment: Personally, I have come to appreciate the fancy color variations in unheated tanzanites, as have all customers who have bought one. Working with David Jerome, I had the honor to study some of the world's very best heated tanzanites in quails-egg size (from the famous block D, was it?). While their color is truly mesmerizing intense, it is only one (1) color, always the same. Unheated tanzanites or zoisite on the other hand, never cease to entertain with new color-variations, especially if you add side- and back-views. See the three backside images next to one-another with nothing but a 180 degree turn and changing background under 'more images'. Speaking of side-view, this 2.15 comes in a deep shape and could be set so as to show the side-colors as much as the face-up view. Enjoy the endless combinations of petrol-blue, violet, purple, green and even red-pink in one single gem. The green is our proof that we are looking at an unheated tanzanite. No inclusions, no window, no treatments - our three 'no's' policy for quality gems. The cut is a traditional hand-work from the 80ies, flawless even if not with modern CAD precision. Brighter in tone and with more color variations than OTA303.
