Comment: Surprising pink spinel with blue (!) or violet needles crossing like comets, not visible individually but all together adding a second (not secondary) hue that sometimes shows more, sometimes less, sometimes combining to purple as 2ndary (not second) hue. See the various images to explore the effect fully. In a setting, the center will be closed or rather colored, as in handshot. Luster runs in a ring around the stone. See also hues in back images. Almost 8mm round will need a size 6 for ring. Very unique gem, guaranteeing many new impressions and different light effects. Unusual origin for pink spinel. Clearly a gem for the individualist in search of unique beauty.
