Comment: Massive rich rose-red Tanzanian ruby in nearly round shape. Not free of inclusions, but most are visible only as light reflection on inner structures like silvery feathers and crystals (see big images), no hideously colored monsters under the lens. Unheated rubies of this size and a basically good clarity are not easy to find (not to speak of round shapes). Study the big images; they show you all you could see under a lens (and more). In hand, this is a a fine red ruby, a queenly/kingly ringstone yet not flashy or too posh for a tasteful mind. The color is a full red with some purple and violet but no other hues. Good fluorescence at night, never dark. Double report with 'unheated' by GIT (which is a recommendation amongst gemmologists) and by GIA, a lab with an equally good reputation (the 'surface wax' is not a treatment but leftover from the cutting process). GIA graded a pure 'red', GIT 'purplish red'. As beautiful in the sun as under candle light.
