Comment: As beautiful in person as in the images. Shiny mix of pink and purple. You will not find any inclusions even under the lens and with good eyes (yet, in fact, there is one colorless bubble in the tip). Famous Balas spinels, for centuries credited to be a royal type of corundum. Very sweet, rich in color, bright in sparkles. Compare to the new-comers from Mahenge (now trading over $2k/ct in equal quality): Balas spinels never were as hot or neon, but their sublime crystal and color intensity have guaranteed them a secure place in the history of spinels. Precision cut to fullest brilliancy, perfectly gorgeous. If you love spinels, do not miss out on this great pedigree. As good as it gets.
