Overall Grade: Excellent

Comment: Truly un-comparable to any other gem variety, color-changing or not. The day-color is like the very best 'London blue' famous in topaz but without the nasty radiation treatments. The night color reminds of amethyst in light shades. In both cases, day and night, there is an electric glitter to these colors, or rather to the crystal within. Fluorite appears ethereal, the crystal vaporous, seemingly weightless though it brings a normal specific gravity on the balance, at least amongst gemstones (3.19 to be precise). This near seven carat pear-cut is free of inclusions under the lens, flawlessly cut without window, and free of treatments - 3xNo. As so often in CC gems, the camera mixes both colors according to the broad variations of wave-lengths in normal daylight. We have tried to separate the extreme color-ends but there always remains a hint of the 'opposing' color behind. Eye-catching pendant gem with 15x9mm. The left handshot below hints at the 'inner' movement I mentioned above, a kind of oscillating flicker inside the crystal. Very special! I strongly recommend snatching one of these in a full size before they are discovered by the big jewelry brands and get scarce.
