Comment: Hiddenite is the green brother or sister of pink kunzite. This light aquarelle hue in clean ten carats under $275/ct is a snatch with no compromises, brand-name aside. The main photo was taken with the gem standing upright on its own. Why mentioned? This little trick is always a way to test perfect symmetry and and thus excellent cutting, especially with so many small facets, such as in this Portuguese-cut. Also, under 'more images' check the color-change from light-green to vivid pink under UV-light. Please see the side-image to get a full impression of the fresh green hue, not only tinted white as in the front-loaded brilliancy shots. Compared with unheated aquamarine or green beryl, hiddenite is no less brilliant (but more) and no less (but more) durable. There is room for savings with a lesser known variety like hiddenite without any down-sides. Relevant quality standards given (e.g. our 3*NOS), your gems' beauty and visibility (in relation to its $-tag) will not depend on its brand-name. If you plan to impress on a material level, however, say, while being on your knees, make sure you have a suitable explanation as to why this is not "Ooh! AQUAMARINE!!!" but only a 'what-was-it?'. Such extras could include a certificate over WLT-rainforest saved in your loved ones' name and a personal thank-you-letter from lawyers fighting the good fight at NhRP.org; to name a few unrelated examples :-).
