Comment: Most chased-after perfect golden imperial topaz from the precious rough mined only in Ouro Prêto (a charming area to visit even if you are not a mining enthusiast, full of early Portuguese colonial history). No other source in the world produces comparable untreated type of topaz. This eight carats gem, utterly clean, even under the lens, precisely cut maximizing the face-up to 16x8 without window and a maximum 'glow-back' of this imperial-topaz-only color. AIG report with 'fine color' addition. Too big for a ring, a pendant is the obvious design target, yet a bracelet would offer the most exciting options, as always, including the most exciting price-tag (single hand-made bracelets are often the most expensive way to present a gem at least if you choose solid gold for the band). Imagine the rectangular golden glow where one would expect the dial of a lady's watch. This could even be done with a normal watches' leather band, completing the illusion, and keeping the cost at bay. Enjoy the variety of colors from different viewing angles, the concentration of hue in the edges or the golden sheen in the low-light image below. Simply fantastic. At $2k/ct not cheap in this size but well within normal market-range especially for a gem with our rare '+' behind the 'excellent'.
