Comment: From Big Sur with DSEF report ..001, meaning the first every tested, comes this local rarity, a bit smaller than the other 13 carat (...002) but all we have. For those who have been at Big Sur no further explanation is needed why magic surrounds the place. For those who did not yet have the pleasure, well, I won't dare descriptions but advise to get there as soon as possible. 'Big Sur Jade' would be an 'appropriate' misnomer, with Jade being the most mythical gemstone of the east and Big Sur the most mythical place of the west. In any case, here is an affordable cabochon almost 3/4 inches long, with a fresh moss green, transparent to translucent body with darker green cloudy color zones. DSEF report, free shipping etc. etc. included. Could be set in a sterling silver or gold wire basket of the type shown below, very much in sync with the style and mood of its origin.
