Comment: Here is a rare garnet mix, pyrope-spessartite, that has signed its name, Malaya garnet, into the gemology books. Typically found in Africa, famous for rich orange-red hues, this one came in a mixed parcel of sapphires, not un-noticed since this color would be very special in corundum, being a ruby instead; parcel-deals are like that: no fishing in parcels. That said, this deep orange-red gem is a viable and durable alternative to a considerably more expensive ruby. It fulfills our 'Three-Nos' quality rule: no inclusions, no window, no treatments. It comes with a full IGI report, free shipping, rainforest protection, legal fight for animal rights, and all other WildFish perks. 4x4mm will fill a normal sized ladie's ring, and a bigger size with a halo around. The hand-shot dulls the orange, leaving the pink-red unattractive, thus do not pay to much attention. In a platinum or WG surrounding this little fellow will do all the sparkling and coloring with full energy. BTW, in a brighter tone, Medium 50 perhaps, this would make a fine padparadscha color.
