Comment: Are you dreaming of a giant ruby? Or a big red spinel, or any XXL red gem to stare into and forget time, space, politics and all the rest? You are not alone. And also not alone in discovering that big red gems are, well, costly, at least in the untreated and natural product-aisle. Before you retreat to stare into red wine only, consider this certified untreated Ceylon rhodolite. Colored like a well filled tumbler of rich Bordeaux wine, it never turns black, nor empty and needs no refilling. It always has a red glow for you, even when the bottle is empty, and night has fallen. Light a candle and you will be rewarded with soothing sparks inside a red-purple glow (like our #2 night-shot under 'more images'). Full day-light, be it sun or office-light, will brighten the full gem to an eye-catching but calm red-purple giant (similar to the tweezer-image). Not pyrope, nor almandine, let alone glass or synthetic, but certified all-natural rhodolite, the nobility amongst red garnets. Our 3*No standard checked: no treatment, no eye-visible inclusions, no windows, plus a flawless hand-cut with point-on facet-corners, classic design, high-end polish, and a silky crystal reminding of ruby. No ugly inclusions even under the lens. Minimum ringsize would be a six or seven, or better still set in a pendant. Ask us for ideas within your budget.
