Comment: This Rhodolite caught my attention (and was selected here) because of its unusual long shape and ancient cut. While common in tourmaline, such staff-forms are rare in rough garnet crystals. If you plan an elegant but unique pendant this garnet here is a candidate. Like CGT111 it was hand-cut early last century with simple but effective elegance, and no window. Unthinkable in a 'modern' gemstone the shape gives an immediate 'antique' impression. No inclusions even under the lens. Full IGI report, unheated Rhodolite. Interesting colour-play throughout the gem's length: deep orange ochre, dark red maroon, all earthy natural colours. Better than hand-shot.
