Overall Grade: Good

Comment: A welcome but rare find in Ceylon: pink spinel with no purple or grey, no silk or gueda but a fine clear crystal, free of inclusions even under the lens. Local hand-cut, good enough though with a symmetric window in the center. The latter would suggest a re-cut though 1.4 carat does not leave much room and the gem would probably go under one carat. Then it would be a perfect sight but we could not (yet) make the decision. If you are looking for a small but perfect pink spinel, we are happy to provide a free re-cut.
