Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Deep blue/violet Ceylon spinel with a compact but not bellied body, avoiding necessary weight in the back while presenting a full face-up without window. Its Medium Dark 80 tone is a warm flowery color with extra purple in tungsten light. No grey. See the back side image where a view through a thinner part shows a beautiful purple only, while from the front purple is only a 2nd. Elegant and unique precision cut with rounded facets in the back. No inclusions under the lens, no window, untreated = 3Nos quality. Spots in handshot are only contact points from skin in the back. Unique spinel color found only rarely in sapphire if at all. Full size, will need sufficient space in a ring, 6 and up. Never black, even in low light maintaining the deepest of violet.
