Comment: If you like your gems mystical dark this may be just the right spinel. The main body colour is best shown in the handshot: a deeper-is-impossible melange of violet and purple. With the lens you can study a set of inclusions which reminded me of tree roots, so I made a close-up below (not visible to the eye). Remember, Medium-Dark 80 (on a scale from 0=white to 100=black), is far on the dark side, thus do NOT expect this spinel to shine in full color under all light settings (if it did, it'd be MD60/70 and cost treble). Full sized spinel with character for a gent's ring or a pendant in white gold or platinum. From the number of images I made you can tell that this gem has many different ways to play in the light, never boring.
