Comment: As mentioned elsewhere, tourmalines are mostly cut for color. Here is an exception: A 168+ facets 'Portuguese cut' for luster and color in equal parts. The deep body produces rose pink,  purple, red, violet, and orange with ever changing mixtures in between. In Medium Dark 70 these are dense colors, not neon, not pastel but flowery or fruity. See two backside images below, without luster, and from different sides, showing shades between red and orange to purple to ochre. Rubellite character but priced as 'normal' tourmaline. The different colors are not color-zones but a result of strong pleochroism (different colors from different viewing angles). No inclusions in 5 carats. No treatments, perhaps a tiny center window but not disturbing. Measures as oval while first impression is almost round (only 1mm difference between length and width). Mild character with ever changing hues and tones for the attentive observer. Deep but not wasteful backside needs a high domed setting not under size 6.
