Comment: This is a classic intermediary zircon, meaning of geologically medium aged gem, in the normally 'high-zircon' green. Photogenic, even without much light, it can surprise with the very strong zircon-like luster, yet at times, the 'Medium Dark 70' as a tone withholds some of this distinctive luster. However, I was not able to catch that darker green from the front, hence, as so often, I ask to pay attention to the backside image where luster does not lighten the tone. The dark green you find there is the one that this gem exhibits primarily, at least until light hits and the good old zircon brilliancy springs into action. With quite a few inclusions (see close-ups, or under the lens) the gem collector will find much to study that speaks of the extreme age zircon has spent in our planets' crust. For jewelry, please mark the warning that, however lively the gem appears of its photos, it is Medium Dark 70 and does not always do as commanded or rather expected. All in all, it is a calmer character than the main images suggest. However, a fine green is, after red, the most valued color in zircon but still far less expensive than its durability and optical performance would let us expect.
