Comment: Formerly a three carat pear shape, this gem went to Conny Forsberg in Sweden with the target of an ideal round precision cut optimizing luster and color without focusing on weight retention. Hence, this was a complete precision cut not only a normal improvement re-cut. The 'new' gem has a broader variety of hues and tones. As expected the tone brightened, brilliancy increased, weight came down from 3.01 to 1.68, almost a 50% loss but if you compare the dimensions, the face-up loss is only around 25%. Now, it is as good as possible. See the color-play under 'more images'. Its luster was hard to catch on photo, but is guaranteed by the optical features of zircon in a precision cut.
