Comment: Terrific precision cut in a red zircon. Obviously on the dark side but always ready to send out red flashes. A little crystal on the round side casts a white reflection under some light, but then is hard to find even under the lens; consider it an identifying feature of its natural state and origin. Heat would have burned it away. Extra fun for admiring a precision cut in a big full-color gem. Its deep body could be used in an impressive pendant or in a high-domed ring design. I rarely suggest pears for rings but this perfect cut and deep intense red would be a fantastic friend to share the days and study for daily beauty in times good or bad. In a big gent's size with a high build bezel dome this would make an impressive heirloom ring. Bordeaux red in MD80. No window, no inclusions, no treatments. Loves light but doesn't completely black out in low light.
