Comment: This certified cobalt spinel was precision cut in Germany from 8.51 carat. The day-light blue is a deep classic Ultramarine. In mixed light settings the gem throws purple and violet into the mix. On the magic side of MD80, rewarding with surprising color flashes and brilliancy in good light and magic in sun. No inclusions visible to the eye, even under the lens hardly visible. No window, no inclusions, no treatments in one of the rarest gems on earth, in 11mm round, no less. See the before-images, the model cut synthetic spinel and the end results in the big images. A serious gem in all dimensions. Not many cobalt spinels around, in any size, less in precision cuts.
