Comment: Cut to match cabochons from facet-grade rough hessonite. As mentioned in the comments for 2.81, cabochons from clean and transparent rough add a new dimension to the same gem in comparison to their facet-version. Usually, cabochons are used on rough too included or opaque to be facetted (obviously not so here). These two 'cabs' (for 'cabochons' amongst friends) are as transparent and clean as the best rough with the typical hessonite swirls under the lens, the appearance of a fluid body, thick like fresh honey. For a change, the handshots present the color best, a typical hessonite hue, mixtures of orange, red and mahogany. In jewelry, a chance for a most unique pair of studs, simple but outstanding.
