Comment: Intense lime green in a square cushion peridot from Pakistan. Not to be confused with the omnipresent low-quality peridot from China and other locations. This 'noble' peridot can compete with any other green gem, from tourmaline to garnet or beryl but with $450/ct in big sizes far more approachable. Medium Dark 70 without blackouts but the dash of yellow needed to make it a non-metallic shiny lime green. Though the images were taken on a rainy and foggy winter-day, they are all glitter & gleam. Barely detectable inclusions, only under the lens. Flawless hand-cut with only a hint of center window, mostly visible in tilt. Peridot of this quality still is a grand bargain in all-natural green gemstones. The (almost) square cushion in over 10x10mm will fill any gent's size ring or pendant.
