Comment: If you are looking for a maximum visible aquamarine pendant but don't want to pay over five carats, this gem offers a perfect trade-off:  The long pear, almost trillion shaped, aquamarine holds the border between a window and maximized width. As all images show, the center never fully closes but neither does it open up to see-through. That said, check the specs: 14x8mm from only two and a half carats is a record-sized face-up. The concentration of color in tip and lower bow, is purely optical, meaning it is not real color-zoning but the natural flow of light and color through the specific shape. Save for a tiny, lens-only, internal crystal inclusions, the rest of the gem is clean even under the lens. Any disturbances showing in the images are reflections from the background, not inclusions. As often in brightly colored gems, the images struggle to capture the fascinating liquid glow that has made aquamarines so famous. Those who know blue beryls can imagine the beauty and character that such a clean gem has on show. Those who have never seen one in person, will have to try, first time.
