Comment: Garnet variety with padparadscha character. A mixture of pyrope and spessartite garnet in pink-orange, also called Malaya. Like padparascha, this is a tender hue, and should not be too dark. Full luster, no inclusions, no treatments. Not pushy or intrusive but elegant and understated. Precision cut in classic brilliant. The handshot lost some color but shows its brilliancy well. Liquid crystal type with gleaming inner life. Affordable alternative to padparadscha sapphire. Side image, along a different color-acis, shows too much pink. A beautiful serene gem for ringsizes upto 7 in white gold or platinum.
