Overall Grade: Excellent

Comment: Perfect precision-cut featuring an extra-long modified scissor with paraiba-style blue-green. The lapidary did a fine job playing with the blue and green axis, showing more or less of each color when the gem moves through different viewing angles, sometimes vivid teal, sometimes metallic green. Three times 'no': No window, no inclusions, no treatments - our preferred quality standard in the top 1% of all gems. Over 6x5mm will fill any ladies-ring with ease. Not yet a full paraiba color but getting close. Your fun aside, it buys a sloth in Ecuador enough trees to spend a lifetime chewing in calm pleasure; or, alternative, becoming a lunch for an equally protection-worthy Andean Condor.
