Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Artfully cut, deep pine-green tourmaline with a giant face but no window. Complicated in front of the camera but not undemanding in person either due to its antique handcut with uncommonly big facets and obviously hand-made character, faceted BTW in the early 1960's. Not a precision cut, but still deserving an 'Excellent' in cutting grade for its unique and artsy design. Though there is a clear secondary blue tinge throughout the gem, in the images the blue seems to gather in certain areas and facets; partly this is an optical effect, partly it is blue skies around. Dark green but never black. Not a merry sparkler but more of a mystic gem for those in love with rich shades of green. One not-really-inclusion can be seen only under the lens.
