Comment: From one of the most mystical places on earth, from high-up, close to the sky comes this full-sized kyanite. Though they have their own unique character, they are often compared, and confused, with deep blue sapphires (and sometimes sold as such, especially in jewelry). Looking at 'more images' you easily understand why: A most impressive color in an, as yet, affordable gem variety. Considering that they usually are found in much smaller sizes, under one carat, often color-zoned or uneven saturated and heavily included, this 4.10 carat made it into the 'Very Good+' section. While they are softer than sapphires, they are durable enough to be set in protective jewelry, say, a pendant with high bezel or a deep flush-set gent's ring. The rare size and clarity make it a collector gem, plus we add a 1000sqm of pristine rainforest to be protected in your name by WLT as an extra for future generations.
