Comment: Novelty in our stock: Copper-bearing Labradorite Feldspar AKA Oregon Sunstone. This is a ring-sized gem with a lively sunset colour and the typical sheen of copper strands, also called 'Schiller'. Like Opal, Sunstone offers a wide range of phenomena, colours and appearances. After a few dark years under a flood of treated China-gems (andesine-scam), the original Sunstone is making a come-back and joins the exclusive club of all-natural untreated gemstones. Obviously we are happy to support the noble enterprise and believe that such gems are the future value of the market. Join early! Our rough comes exclusively from mines in Plush and Burns. Personally, I admire Sunstones for their multi-chroism (display of several colours at the same time). This stone, for example, as we move it in the light throws yellow, gold, very faint green and strong orange sparks. Add to this multitude of colours the so-called 'Schiller' from copper inclusions and you have a most fascinating optical melange. These copper strands are not visible to the eye but totally fascinating under the lens (you do get a glimpse of them in the back-image).
