Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: The only 'Medium Dark 70-80' sunstone in our collection. Its deep bluish-green (!) centre is framed by orange (!), a sought-after combination in Oregon sunstone. The extravagant 3D-cut with a shield-shaped front makes for a very unusual gem, even amongst always unique sunstones. Add beautiful copper islands, see images below, sometimes golden, sometimes yellow, like the Maldives at sunset or a lava stream. Note orange-only side-view.  Such a gem offers much to discover over time (true for all good gems) but draws immediate attention with its shape and color-combo. 3Nos: No window, no inclusions (golden islands are never inclusions:-), no treatments. Hard-to-find GIA report with 'untreated Oregon Sunstone', a distinct quality seal. Large ring stone over size 5/6 up to 10, and pendant material.
