Comment: IMHO, this is the perfect shape and color for Imperial topaz. With only one carat we are looking at over 10mm length to roll its bright golden luster from the tip to the base, every time changing from orange to yellow and back. Though this is not the most expensive shade in topaz (Medium Dark is traded higher) I feel it's the most exquisite and delicate combination of color and tone in the world of peachy golden gems, especially with this cut and extra length. Set in a pendant it will make the most precious 'little something special'. One of those gems that I would prefer to keep for myself if I could. But, hey, as always, one has to suffer most for the gems one loves most. Ignore brown in handshot. See the smooth color transition between yelow and orange in the photos, and then imagine it in motion: Terrific! Elegant and sophisticated but not pushy. The adjective 'Imperial' is truly earned.
