Overall Grade: Excellent+

Comment: Pretty perfect padparascha spinel with a lively pink in orange. Great luster. No window, no inclusions, no treatments = 3NOs quality. Padparadschas are by definition light toned, except the occasional Winza sapphire. As such they are not neon gems but almost tender characters, as their original name-giver, the lotus flower. Sunset can stronger but hardly neon. 8x5mm face-up from 'only' 1.3ct, is a perfect shield. Great fun, eternally. The images show the fine crystal, utterly clean and better than transparent if we had a name for it. Rarely given Excellent+. In handshot pink-orange does not stand out much on skin, but it does in a setting with metal inbetween. Fills a ladie's ring up to size 6 or 8 with halo, which it would deserve. Padparadscha are the exception where IMO white and yellow gold does equally well.
