Comment: There, I just recently said Bekily Garnets are gone from the market, and here is a new find from Tanzania that is equally fantastic (we had a first taste with a 2.00 trillion). This second encounter allows us an easier look into the type and quality of the new gems. Easier because in this size the colors do not yet darken as much as in the bigger gems. The big garnets of this color-wheel-crossing type appear rather dark at first sight. If you search the web for images of the old Bekily gems above two carats they seem almost blackish at first sight, unless photoshop or a torch was involved (the latter is fine and normal for CC-presentation since we can't switch the sun on-and-off at will). In smaller sizes, with one carat counting as BIG in the class, the crystal reveals its hue in normal light and without any of the usual patience CC demands. These two here, a pair of pear shaped gems, shine in normal daylight with an almost neon teal-green, even if the camera favors the blue part. Never-mind though, the daylight color is an eye-opener, literally. A tungsten light adds red via purple until we have a pure red garnet, but the real fun is both colors together. Enjoy the photos, I couldn't stop, and would not if I'd be paid per photo. It's such fun with gems like this. If Alexandrites were discovered these days, they would have a harder time getting famous. Both our gems come with 3 Nos: no treatments, no inclusions, no windows plus precision cut-to-match and all our extra services included. A rare second 'Excellent++' in one month. Add a strong dash of neon green to all more primary blue parts on the images. The true daylight color is unprecedented and must be seen in person.
