Comment: Heliodore, from then gem-family that honored us with aquamarine and emerald amongst others, is the green-yellow variety of the beryl-clan. Some green is accepted in aquamarine (even appreciated), some yellow can be found in emerald (less appreciated), green and yellow mixede together is called heliodore, or golden beryl when the green is missing and perhaps with some orange (in color a competitor to fine sapphire). Bright lime- or citrus-colored beryls like this do not have a big competitor, except off-colored sapphies perhaps. 'Lime Beryl' may be a suitable trade-name for these gems. The one of the pair with an IGI report will also be available as a single gem later on. As a pair, with identical face-ups, they invite the creation of earrings, as studs, fixed under a loop or in a flexible design with the gems moving freely. Personaly, I would NOT combine them with yellow or even rose gold but only with cold white gold (or platinum though it might be unessecarily heavy for the earloobes). As always in light tones, subtract the skin color from the hand-shot below, see sideimages for a perfect color impression. Do not worry about the difference in weight but focus on the face-up dimensions. Here it's only depth that changes weight not visible size.
